General information about the strawberries
The strawberry is an angiosperm, a dicotyledonous fruit which belongs to the Rosaceae family with about 15 kinds of natives from the northern temperate areas. propably it comes from Chile.
In Greece the most famous strawberry is the European strawberry which is also found native in hilly, wooded and semi-wooded areas. The fruit of this wild strawberry is small, and exceptionally sweet and tasty.
The fruit of the strawberry is complicated and consists of a lot of spores on its surface. The cultivation of the strawberry is easy enough even for the beginners.
